Discovering the Strength Within to Overcome Any Obstacle
We are halfway done with this year and if you have been reading, following and practicing our weekly wisdom bites, you are in a much better mental, emotional and physical state.
In this week's blog post, I would like us to delve into igniting the spark within ourselves. Not sure about you but I have had my share of challenges and experiencing grief after the loss of a dear friend which happened two months ago.
So, I know first hand that it's easy to get wrapped up in life's happenings and forget about the strength and courage that lies deep within us. Yet, what I know in my bones is that each one of us must remember that we have the power to overcome any obstacle that comes our way when we reach within the wisdom that is always waiting for us to wake up to it or by having the courage to be vulnerable to reach out for help.
As author and motivational speaker Tony Robbins once said, "It's not the events of our lives that shape us, but our beliefs as to what those events mean." This quote reminds me that our mindset and support system plays a crucial role in how we navigate life challenges. You must believe in your ability to overcome difficulties, by tapping into your inner resilience to face any obstacle head-on.
To put this idea into practice, here are three simple yet powerful spiritual tools that you can incorporate into your daily routine:
Practice daily affirmations
Each morning after you brush your teeth stop for two minutes in front of the mirror and remind yourself of your strengths and capabilities, focus on the belief that you can overcome any challenge that comes your way.
Set Small Goals
Break down your bigger goals into smaller, manageable tasks. Think about this “You Can’t Eat an Elephant with One Bite” By setting achievable goals for yourself, you can build momentum and increase your sense of accomplishment, boosting your confidence to tackle bigger challenges.
Stay connected with a support system
Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. Whether it's friends, family, or a mentor, having a strong support system can provide you with the encouragement and guidance you need to overcome any challenges. I can honestly say having a community outside my family and friends has added so much value to my life that I don’t ever want to do life without it.
Remember, there is a spark within you, waiting for you to use it. You are courageous when you reach out for support outside your comfort zone because due to different situations you might not have the support system that you really need. Don’t try to do life alone; choose to join our community which can help you overcome any problems that come your way. Believe in yourself and watch how you soar to new heights.
